John Shelton Parliament

The John Shelton Parliament members have been elected by their peers to represent them and are supported by our PSHE Lead Mrs Humphreys.   We have Ministers to represent the main areas in school as well as a Prime Minister and a Deputy Prime Minister.  The ministerial candidates wrote and recorded a speech to persuade their peers why they should be elected.  The parliament members proudly display our core values and set an example to the other children. They attend regular meetings and help make important decisions to make our school even better.

Ministers take part in curriculum monitoring alongside our subject leaders and really enjoy looking at books and giving their feedback!

The Parliament is also responsible for co-ordinating our charity work across the school year. They have looked into local, national and international charities to ensure that we are giving our support to a charity that they think deserves it.

Our Parliament Ministers can be recognised by the purple lanyard that they proudly wear around their necks.
